Goals

1^st World Concert for Africa CHOPIN LOVES TANZANIA is an artistic project aimed at collecting funds for the development of Tanzania and ultimately raising the standard of living of people in Tanzania.

It will be a multicultural artistic event, combining various musical styles, cultures, people and countries inspired and based on the universally loved music of the most outstanding Polish composer and pianist Fryderyk Chopin. This applies to international performers of classical music as well as jazz and folklore musicians.

The function of the Ambassadors of the concert was accepted by eminent representatives of the world of music and sports: Paul McCartney, Ian Gillian, Jimy Page, Lang Lang, Man Li, Włodzimierz Pawlik, Tomasz Ritter, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Robert Lewandowski, Marcin Gortad, Michael Jordan, Le Bron James, DeVon Hardin, Kevin Durand and other athletes.

Artists from Poland, Tanzania and other countries will meet on the stage of the performance hall in Dar es Salaam. First of all, they will be pianists performing piano pieces by Fryderyk Chopin such as Man Li Szczepańska (Poland and China), Lang Lang (China), Tomasz Ritter and Włodzimierz Pawlik (Poland), mezzo-soprano Izabela Kopeć (Poland).

These artists will be joined by music and folklore groups from Tanzania and Poland (e.g. Manuel Dembicki’s band), which will also perform pieces inspired by Chopin’s music and their own compositions. The invited guests, concert ambassadors (Paul McCartney and Ion Gilian) will also join the concert.

At the end, all the performers will perform a special piece for Africa.

Director

The director of the Concert is an outstanding artist in this field, Boleslaw Pawica, a graduate of the Polish National Film School (The Leon Schiller’s National Higher School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź, Polish: PWSFTviT – Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Filmowa, Telewizyjna i Teatralna im. Leona Schillera w Łodzi), with the support of Karol Grzeskowiak as the 2^nd director, also a graduate of the Polish National Film School.
